An award winning British singer sold out at a North-East venue following a hugely successful comeback after a year away.
Sussex born singer Ed Sheeran made a major musical comeback at the start of the year, much to the delight of his huge fan base, with the release of two popular singles, Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill.
Following the comeback, Sheeran announced a European, Mexican and North American tour with a handful of UK dates including two shows at the Metro Radio Arena in April.
The tour announcement comes as the star is set to release his much anticipated third studio album, Divide, on March 3, a week after his performance at the Brit Awards.
Upon release on Februrary, 2, 20,000 tickets which had been made available for fans wanting to attend the Northern dates sold out in less than an hour and were in such high demand that fans crashed the website leaving many disappointed.
Ed Sheeran will play to two sold out to capacity shows at the Metro Radio Arena on April 19 and 20 accompanied by a host of special guests.
